As founding principal in 1997, Dr. Sampalis played a central role in establishing the company's strategic vision, building its global footprint, and shaping its operational model.

While no longer involved in daily operations, Dr. Sampalis continues to contribute to the organization in an advisory capacity, working closely with the Board of Directors and supporting the organization’s long-term strategic development.

Dr. Sampalis is a tenured professor of Surgery and Epidemiology & Biostatistics of McGill University, the University of Montreal and Laval, University. Throughout his career he has received numerous scholarships from provincial and federal funding agencies including the Medical Research Council of Canada, the National Health Development Program and the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Quebec, and is recognized as a leading clinical epidemiologist and trauma researcher.
