Dr. Emmanouil Rampakakis, CEO and Chief Scientific Officer, has more than 20 years of clinical, academic, and industry experience in global drug and device development.

Having held multiple leadership roles in JSS, he has played a key role in driving growth and building strategic partnerships with biotechs and major pharmaceutical companies, and leads JSS in accelerating the delivery of life‑changing treatments to patients.

Dr. Rampakakis has contributed to the conception, design, analysis, and interpretation of more than 120 large scale, national and international, registrational and real-world studies, and has contributed to 10 market approvals. As a Chief Scientific Officer, he assists sponsors with complex protocol designs, endpoint determination, and sample size and signal-to-noise ratio optimization, as well as discussions regarding regulatory pathways.

Dr. Rampakakis serves as a Faculty Member at the Department of Pediatrics at McGill University and the Montreal Children's Hospital. He has published more than 150 articles in high-ranking journals and book chapters on different aspects of clinical research and pharmacoepidemiology. In addition, he participates as a reviewer for over 10 leading peer-reviewed journals and as a committee member for provincial and federal funding agencies.
